(thanks for joining ) Comet grazed silently near the river that ran through the forest, his ears swiveling back and forth listening to the sounds of the forest.

Quietly, almost silently, I cantered through the forest. A twig snapped occasionally, but I paid no attention. As came I came to a creek, I stopped and walked in, letting my hooves soak and took a drink.

Comet lifted his large head and looked around then took in a deep breath, he smelled another horse near by, the stallion let out a low nicker before lowering his muzzle into the river and taking a drink.

Lifting my head quickly, I followed the sound. Coming upon a stallion, I shrank into the shadows, blending in almost perfectly.

Hearing the stallion nicker, I felt an urge to reply, but ignored it. Instead, I moved deeper into the shadows, a twig snapping as I did so.

Comet flicked his tail at a few flies then walked into the river and just stood there. The stud started to fall asleep listening to the river, the birds, frogs, and other forest life.

Quietly, as the big bay roan began to doze off, I walked into the sun, being careful not to step on anything that would make a noise.

Comet's head hung as the sun warmed his fur and the water flowed past his knees.

Quietly, I made my way to the river to get a drink. I stayed as far away from the stallion as possible, but he was standing close to the easiest way down the riverbank.

a horse fly flew around Comet's head and he shook, which woke him up, but only half way, he started staring at the small fish swimming against the current near his hooves.

I looked at the stallion from where I stood, soaking my sore hooves. I stood like a statue, hoping he would ignore me.

Comet sighed and his eyes followed a group of fish as they pushed each other and fought for spots as they fought the current.

Finally, I stepped out of the water and galloped past the stallion, not stopping until I was near the treeline.
